These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Renovate Web website at renovateweb.com and the engagement of web design and development services provided by Renovate Web (“we,” “us,” or “our”), based in Chicago, IL, USA. By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

Website use

This website is provided for informational purposes. You may use it to learn about our services, read our blog, and contact us about potential projects. You agree not to:

Client services

Engagements for web design, development, or related services are governed by a separate written agreement (proposal or contract) between Renovate Web and the client. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and a signed client agreement, the client agreement takes precedence.

General terms that apply to all client work unless superseded by a signed agreement:

  • Ownership. Upon receipt of final payment, the client owns the deliverables (code, design files, content) produced specifically for their project. Renovate Web retains ownership of any pre-existing tools, libraries, or frameworks used.
  • Portfolio. We reserve the right to display completed work in our portfolio unless the client requests otherwise in writing.
  • Payment. Projects are quoted at a fixed price. A deposit is required before work begins. Remaining payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Revisions. The number of revisions included is specified in each project proposal. Additional revisions beyond that scope may incur additional charges.
  • Timeline. We will provide an estimated timeline at the outset of each project. Delays caused by slow client feedback or incomplete content provision may extend the timeline and are not grounds for a refund.

Disclaimer of warranties

This website is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy or completeness of the information provided.

Results from our services (such as SEO rankings, conversion rates, or traffic) cannot be guaranteed, as they depend on many factors outside our control including search engine algorithm changes and market conditions.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Renovate Web shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website or our services. Our total liability for any claim arising from client work shall not exceed the total fees paid for that specific project.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Cook County, Illinois.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
