This Privacy Policy explains how Renovate Web (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit https://www.renovateweb.com or contact us about our services. We take your privacy seriously and only collect what we need.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly

When you submit our contact form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your company name (optional)
  • Your project description

We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and discuss a potential project. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

Analytics data

We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use our website and how it performs. These fall into two categories:

Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights (cookie-free)

We use Vercel Analytics to measure pageviews, referrers, device types, and geographic region, and Vercel Speed Insights to measure real-user performance metrics (Core Web Vitals such as page load time). Both tools are privacy-first by design:

  • No cookies are set
  • No personally identifiable information is stored
  • IP addresses are hashed and never retained

Because these tools use no cookies and collect no PII, they operate on all visits without requiring your consent.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — consent required

With your consent, we also use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised behavioural data including:

  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Referring website or search query
  • General geographic location (country/city level)
  • Device type and browser

GA4 uses cookies to distinguish repeat visits. This data is processed by Google LLC. We have enabled IP anonymisation and do not use GA4 data for advertising. GA4 cookies are only set if you accept cookies — you can decline or withdraw consent at any time using the cookie preference banner.

Cookies

We use the following cookies:

  • cookie-consent — stores your cookie preference (accepted/declined). Expires after 365 days. Required for the site to remember your choice.
  • _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics cookies. Only set if you accept analytics cookies. Used to distinguish users and sessions. Expire after 2 years / 24 hours respectively.

Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights do not set any cookies.

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.

How we use your information

  • To respond to enquiries you send through our contact form
  • To improve the website based on anonymised analytics (with consent)
  • To fulfil any contract we enter into with you as a client

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data storage and retention

Contact form submissions are processed via Resend (an email delivery service) and delivered to our inbox. We retain email correspondence for as long as is necessary to fulfil the enquiry or ongoing client relationship, and no longer than 3 years after the last contact.

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted by Google.

Our website is hosted on Vercel (San Francisco, CA, USA). Data may be processed on servers in the United States and European Union. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your personal data
  • Objection — object to processing of your data
  • Portability — receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw analytics consent at any time via the cookie banner

Children's privacy

Our website is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
